    You make it look so easy Nicole, yet I know it is not lol. Your soothing voice gives me the confidence to want to try though! Bravo! 👏

    Thank you! That was excellent. What size ball did the largest punch make? It looks about 18-20mm. Thank you for the slow exacting instruction, really! I've been watching people make balls without instruction for a year now, I'm so glad I found your site. It's very helpful.

    Nicole, have I mentioned how fabulous you are and how much I appreciate your teaching? So many details of metal forming (in classes and books) are not mentioned; assumed. Mahalo, for sharing!

    Thank you for this!! When you solder other pieces onto the hollow form (like the stem) do you need to retain the hole in the form still?

    I'm thinking of using two spheres, one inside the other (with the outermost also having a few shape modifications) to construct a bell. Do you think that would be possible with this technique? Since bells are quite thin compared to these spheres, would a different technique be better, I wonder?

    • @ringgoldnic
      @ringgoldnic  3 месяца назад

      Yes, it is possible. For the inside hollow form you would need to use hard solder. For the outside sphere you can use either medium or easy so that the solder on the inside sphere does not reflow.

      I'm right handed. I didn't know until I'd already taught myself how to use my torch that I'm "supposed to" hold my torch in my non-dominant hand. 🤷‍♀ Now, I teach my students to use whichever hand feels most comfortable.
